Introduction
FurniLuxe (“FurniLuxe,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is an interior design and home fit-out service operating in Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai. We are not an e-commerce retailer — we do not process payments through this website. We operate as a lead-generation and project-management service: visitors submit project briefs, and we follow up to discuss, quote, and deliver interior work.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website at furniluxe.co, submit a project brief, use our cost calculators, or contact us by phone or WhatsApp. It also explains how we store, use, and protect that data.
By submitting a project brief, using a cost calculator, or otherwise providing your personal data to us, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Policy.
This Policy is governed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA) and the Information Technology Act 2000, as applicable to data collected from persons in India.
Data we collect
We collect only the data necessary to understand your project, contact you, and deliver our services.
Contact data
- ▸Full name — to address you correctly in all communications
- ▸Mobile phone number — used for OTP verification and designer callback
- ▸Pincode — used to schedule a site visit and understand the service area
Project and property data
- ▸BHK type, number of rooms, and room types selected in the calculator
- ▸Work types required — furniture, civil, electrical, false ceiling
- ▸Material grade preference (Essential / Premium / Luxury)
- ▸Room dimensions or size ranges where provided
- ▸Any notes or project description you submit voluntarily
Verification data
When you submit a brief via our website, we send a one-time password (OTP) to your mobile number via SMS. We record that OTP verification was completed and when. We do not store the OTP itself after verification.
Technical data
- ▸IP address and approximate geographic location
- ▸Browser type and version
- ▸Pages visited and time spent — collected via analytics (see Cookies section)
- ▸Device type (mobile / desktop)
How we collect it
Calculator submissions and quick-inquiry forms
When you complete a cost calculator (Full Home, Kitchen, or Wardrobe) or the quick-inquiry form, you provide contact data and project data directly. OTP verification is required before submission is accepted — this confirms the mobile number belongs to you.
Direct contact
When you call, email, or message us on WhatsApp, we record the conversation details as a project note. If you provide a name, phone number, or address during a call, we log it alongside your inquiry.
Site visits
When you book a site visit, your designer may note additional details about your property — measurements, material preferences, and scope clarifications. These notes become part of your project file.
Automated collection
Our website uses analytics tools (see Cookies section) that automatically collect technical data when you visit. This happens whether or not you submit a brief.
How we use your data
- ▸Contact you to discuss your project and schedule a free site visit
- ▸Provide a detailed cost estimate and design proposal
- ▸Coordinate project delivery — between our workshop, site team, and your timeline
- ▸Send project updates and installation scheduling notifications
- ▸Improve our calculator accuracy based on aggregate, anonymised submission data
- ▸Detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of our forms
- ▸Comply with legal obligations under Indian law
We do not use your data to run automated profiling, make automated decisions about your eligibility for services, or sell it to third parties for advertising.
WhatsApp communications
When submitting a brief, you are shown a checkbox labelled “Send me updates on WhatsApp.” If you tick this box (it is ticked by default — you may untick it), we will send project-related updates, appointment confirmations, and estimate summaries to your WhatsApp number.
WhatsApp communications are not used for unsolicited marketing. If you wish to stop receiving WhatsApp messages, reply “STOP” to any message we send, or email us at furniluxethane@gmail.com.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and what actions lead to brief submissions. This data is aggregated and anonymised; it is not tied to your name or phone number.
We use session cookies to maintain calculator state across steps (so your answers are not lost if you navigate between screens). These expire when you close your browser.
You can disable analytics cookies by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by using your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting. Disabling session cookies may break multi-step calculator flows.
Data sharing
We share your data only in the following circumstances:
FurniLuxe designers and project team
Your contact data and project brief are shared with the designer assigned to your project and with our workshop coordination team. All team members operate under confidentiality obligations.
Service providers
- ▸SMS gateway (for OTP delivery) — your phone number is passed to send the OTP
- ▸Google Analytics — anonymised session data only
- ▸Website hosting — server logs including IP address
Legal requirements
We will disclose personal data to regulators, courts, or law enforcement where required by Indian law. We will notify you of such disclosure unless legally prohibited from doing so.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- ▸Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ▸Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- ▸Erasure — request deletion of your data where we have no legal obligation to retain it
- ▸Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent for processing at any time; this does not affect processing done before withdrawal
- ▸Grievance — lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer (contact below), or with the Data Protection Board of India
To exercise any of these rights, email furniluxethane@gmail.com with the subject line “Data Request — [your name].” We will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We retain personal data for the following periods:
- ▸Project leads that did not convert: 2 years from submission date
- ▸Active project records: duration of project plus 7 years (for warranty and legal purposes)
- ▸Completed project records: 7 years from project completion (tax and warranty obligations)
- ▸Analytics data: processed by Google per their retention policy (typically 14 months)
After the applicable retention period, personal data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
Data security
We implement the following measures to protect your personal data:
- ▸HTTPS encryption on all pages where data is submitted
- ▸OTP verification before any lead is accepted — confirms phone ownership
- ▸Database access restricted to authenticated staff on a need-to-know basis
- ▸No plaintext storage of OTPs — they are verified and discarded
- ▸Regular access reviews for the project management dashboard
Despite these measures, no internet transmission is completely secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately using the details below.
Policy updates
We may update this Policy when our data practices change or when law requires it. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
For material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice on our homepage or, where we hold your contact details, by SMS or email.
